Prof. Vineet Raj Kapoor, Founder SXILL was also invited by FICCI on 23 March 2022 to represent the Indian Angle to Dubai Expo for the Round Table on “Fostering Skilling ecosystem by exchange of Knowledge, service & resources”. Focused on bridging the skills gap increasingly faced by students and young professionals entering the media and entertainment sector, the hybrid event brought together academic and profession experts from across the world to discuss ways of working together to address this challenge. The live event, hosted in Dubai, also livestreamed for audience who tuned in online from across the world via MESC website and social media platform.

The core area of the discussion during round table was Strengthening Skilling Ecosystem between India & UAE, Building Capacity of Trainers & master trainer as per International Standards, Opportunity for student, trainers & professionals between India & UAE, Collaboration of Industry- Academia & Academia- Academia and Exchange of content & learning as well.

Vineet Raj Kapoor, Founder SXILL, said about this initiative, “SXILL would like to bring Design Thinking to the education system in it’s entirety. SXILL also believes that the Skilling Education needs to be freed of the shackles of duration that have been there for ages due to time bound degrees and certificates. Time has come to think beyond that and allow each student to progress at their own pace of learning, just like sports trainings. SXILL follows such a system. He offered to help Dubai Government and leading organization engaged in Skilling the Citizens of UAE in their agendas.” SXILL students have worked at the Top in leading organizations including Sony, Yatra.com, Gaana.com as well as Directed top animated shows like ‘Motu Patlu’ and even independent artists like Sukh-E the singer amongst others. SXILL students own leading IT companies in the region like Intelligaia, Trabug, Creative Peppers etc.”

On this initiative, Mohit Soni, CEO, MESC said: “Through the round table summit at Dubai Expo 2020; we strengthened the skilling ecosystem of India by exchanging knowledge, resources, and services with UAE. Offering the student and trainer exchange programs with UAE will provide an extra edge to Indian candidates. The Middle Eastern media and entertainment market is expected to reach a value of USD 47,029.82 million by 2026, registering a CAGR of 7.4% during the period of 2021-2026. The Middle East media and entertainment industry is undergoing significant transformation. The increased adoption of mobile technology has created significant opportunities across media platforms. Moreover, evolutions in paid and digital media have created new rationales for investments. The usage of social media has also been growing across UAE, a trend of interest to agencies, brands, and media companies alike for advertisements. The new pay-tv and OTT players are increasingly populating the market dominated by free-to-air, direct-to-home (DTH) broadcasting until now.
