Yatra.com Design Head Speaks at SXILL Annual Convocation

On December 21, 2024, SXILL marked a significant milestone by hosting its 2nd Convocation for NSDC/MESC QP Certification for passed out students. This event emphasized the value of skill certification, aiming to instill pride and honor among aspiring artists. The convocation celebrated the achievements of graduates while reinforcing the importance of government-recognized certifications in enhancing their career prospects.

Celebrating Excellence in Skill Training

The MESC certification, backed by the Government of India, is a testament to SXILL’s commitment to delivering quality training. Such certifications not only boost the employability of students but also set them apart in a competitive industry.

Industry Leader as Chief Guest

The event was graced by Mr. Anil Siwach, an industry stalwart and former Design Head of Yatra.com and Gaana.com. With a stellar career spanning roles at Opera, LinkedIn, Quikr, and other leading brands, Mr. Siwach shared his inspiring journey with the students. He emphasized the importance of creating unique products and working hard to earn a place in decision-making roles within companies.

During his address, Mr. Siwach said:

“Try to make your own products; that will make you stand out from the crowd. Work hard to deserve your seat at the table, so you’re part of decisions shaping the future of the company rather than just creating good-looking graphics.”

A Moment to Cherish

The convocation ceremony featured the announcement of graduates’ names by distinguished heads of programs and IndiaSkills experts, including Mr. Mangat Ram (Animator QP), Mr. Karampal Singh (Modeler QP), and Ms. Sakshi Sharma (Graphic Designer QP).

A Day to Remember

Ms. Neelu Kapoor, Indian Graphics Expert at IndiaSkills and Founder of SXILL, expressed her delight at the event:

“I am happy that the students received their certificates directly from industry experts. This moment will stay with them for years to come. I extend my gratitude to MESC for supporting quality education and to Mr. Anil Siwach for inspiring our students with his presence.”

SXILL continues to lead the way in bridging the gap between skill training and industry requirements, ensuring students are job-ready with government-recognized certifications.
